Lensman, voyager, craftsman, creator.

I'm Misha, and if you’ve reached this page you’ve either seen some of my work or haven’t seen any— but are curious to learn more about me. I am a Daltonist— it’s a form of colorblindness, but it can also be a philosophy. The way I see the world, literally and metaphorically, is different from most. I do not draw lines or create boxes where others so easily would. What one person calls green— I call yellow. It is all subjective, and I use this philosophy to create open, candid, and honest work.

Every time you ask someone who they are, you are giving them a chance to re-invent themselves. This about me page is rather hard, as I have probably had to re-invent myself a thousand times just to write it. But, first and foremost, I am a lensman, a photographer, a documentarian. Photography isn’t just a hobby; it’s my heartbeat. It is the way I see the world. Whether it is digital or analog, candid or posed, black or color, it does not matter— the lens is me and I am it.

But I am constantly pushing boundaries, especially my own, and finding ways to challenge myself. This is a fundamental core of my growth, and it is the reason why I am who I am. I come from a small-town, but I wanted to experience the world. I wanted to learn about others— cultures, people, thoughts. Whether it is a homeless person on the street or someone selling a bike, I want to engage with them, to meet them, to find out who they are— even if those moments are brief and fleeting. I have a deep love for humanity and I show this through traveling, conversing, and making friends all over the world.

When I am not holding a camera, you'll find me elbow-deep in DIY projects at home or assisting in installations for exhibitions, festivals, etc. With an academic background in architecture, I am able to conceptualize diverse range of projects, organize space, and design layouts. Additionally, I am familiar with working with different materials and tools, which helps to think quickly and creatively when challenges arise.

If you have not noticed, I thrive on connections. From chaotic city streets to quiet corners, I’m not afraid to bridge gaps between people of all walks of life. Kindness and openness are my compass, guiding me through every interaction— so don’t be afraid to say hi, follow me on social media, or get in touch if you’re looking for a photographer, assistant, or a friend.
